They've actually got a "weather warning" up for Banff and Kananaskis today - which is good and bad, I guess :thumbsup::rofl:

Any minute, Smelly, any minute. Been up there yet?

Where does one send one's resume to become a ski-bum? Do they receive many applicants each year? How many posts are available? Can a novice apply?

Are you truly a novice Ann? I haven't been yet this year, and feel even more nervous than I was last year!! I'm annoying to my boys as I keep making excuses not to go, but I guess I'll just have to soon!

I have received six days of instruction - but what I do can't truly be called ski-ing !! It ain't pretty  But I aim to master the upright position properly this year, and not to spend half my life sliding down the mountain on my backside. I also aim to be bruise free this time around - I'm told it's more enjoyable that way. I'm only half joking. I did, however, get that 'light bulb' moment last December, and I aim to work on some (probably forgotten) new skills ....

I have new boots, new skis and I'm armed and ready. Just need to actually get up and go. If you fancy a day wobbling around COP or Sunshine let me know :p We'll let the more proficient members of the family go and 'do their thing' ...

I am very good at the 'hot chocolate at the end of the day' routine ...
