Marriage Story on Netflix. Load of old bollocks. Turned it off after 25 minutes.

Good to know.

Uncut Gems was pretty decent just don't have any caffeine beforehand.

Brittany Runs a Marathon, it was on Shaw On Demand, not great, not horrible, good enough to keep my attention.

Went to see 1917... don't understand what all the fuss is about.

The story is absurd, the characters one-dimensional and the whole thing is overly sentimental. The cinematography is very good but I felt I was watching the movie version of a play. Underwhelmed.

Good God how bad is this! We are in the last week of January and we aren’t going!

My kid is off watching the new Jumanji tonight which sounds fun...and I will go on my own to the cheap seats on Tuesday (how sad does that sound). I will let you know how it pans out...

1917 is disappointing Jings! I had high hopes!

I used to go the cinema a lot on my own. I always took the view that why do you need someone with you...unless you're going to be one of those annoying buggers who yak all the way through.

Obviously it's nice to discuss what you've seen but that needn't be immediately.

It’s a date Bristol...you know where to find me...

The sad thing is that a great swathe of people I work with don’t move one inch from home...and I fully support that decision because it’s cold and horrible.

“Somehow” we need to enfranchise them in to be budging out! Given our freezing temperatures for such long periods, I can’t work how this Cultural hibernation might become economically feasible for anyone?

I love the cinema on my own...but I’m scared of the drive there and back...pathetic, but true!

I’ve heard good things about Just Mercy. Just checked and it’s getting a bit late to see at the cinema...

I watched "The Good Liar" last night. I enjoyed it. 6.5/10 from me.

Went to see "The Personal History of David Copperfield" this weekend. What a thing of joy it was. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish, the script, the acting, the production... it's been a while since I came out of a move feeling so uplifted. It was written and directed by Armando Ianucci so you know it's going to be a winner. Can't recommend highly enough.

I watched that Taylor Swift documentary on Netflix last night. I'm not a fan of her music, but I was amazed at her song writing ability. It was fascinating to watch her put a song together. Solid 9/10 from me.

We were at a bit of a loose end yesterday and so went to see Knives Out - it is excellent, and thoroughly recommended if you like Agatha Christie style mysteries. Daniel Craig's accent is a bit weird, but the story has multiple twists, all the way to the end.

It has been out a couple of months, so won't be around at cinemas for much longer (I think that it still is at cinemas, says something about how good it is), but catch it when it appears on Netflix or your preferred streaming service.
