I don't know Prue but I do like Sandi and Noel so it could work. ๐Ÿ‘

This is also happening....... if it's anything like Masterchef Canada, it'll be godawful.

Aus Masterchef is great, I think it's better than the UK one but Australian Bake Off is dire. Hope your one is better than ours. Well it would be hard to be worse.

Masterchef Canada went all American-drama-whore-style about it. The chefs get split into teams, compete against each other for advantages, immunity, etc... so the winning team can then 'punish' the other team, like 10 fewer minutes in a challenge, or can't use a particular ingredient, or whatever. I hate it.

I love that the UK versions (and the Aus version of Masterchef, which I have seen) is just "here's your challenge. If you cook well, you move on. If you screw up, you're out. Everyone is on the same playing field and has the same opportunity to do well or not." I like that much better. I don't need the added drama to keep me interested.

Pandering to the drama, imo... no thanks.

The Australian one does do one thing that makes me want to throw stuff and that's near the end, they drag all the eliminated contestants and give them a chance to win their space back (but only one). Everyone pretends it's lovely and they're all happy to see each other. I just scream 'you've been eliminated, F O'. Don't think I could watch yours or the American version.
