I just got a hire car quote from Avis at Heathrow airport for 12 days hire.

Ford Focus or equiv - GBP 300
BMW 330 or equiv - GBP 2,500.

If you even think about saying, "I'll take the BMW", then you're rich.

True. I worked on a movie some years ago where they sent a chauffer-driven Bentley to pick me up from home. Much better than driving into London myself.
