It’s not enough for a really nice new boat so I’d repower mine with two new 400hp outboards and spend the rest on takeaways.

To be fair, a company I worked for in the UK once spent $80,000 on a logo which looked like they'd got someone's kid to redraw a competitor's logo with a couple of crayons and put our name in there instead. Everyone hated it and it was abandoned after a few months.
So it's probably a better deal than that.

This is the Govt spending taxpayers money on a book cover for a Budget that happens usually every year.

If it was me I would pay somebody all the money to move a Gas fired 110v generator, it's like the Gov like to waste money but on a smaller scale

Too true...but then you'd have to live here!
I'd use the lot to travel around Canada on a really long road trip...to get to see more of it than the places I've so far been to...go catch a crab with Oink, paddle in the tidal bore with Bristol, take Siouxie for vino and go to see what Caretaker is cooking up next for lunch

LOL
OP - Deposit on a house probably - would be nice
To the general theme, all governments spend exorbitant amounts - waste money - at all levels: municipal, provincial, federal etc. One can hope that they know how to use that money and not waste it, but that would presume we have competent, ethical people in place (at every government position)
