Single lady looking to move to Malta
Hello everyone.
I am new to this forum and the concept of moving to Malta and this seemed like a great place to start with my planning.
I have recently been through a break up. I am dissatisfied with my career in the uk. I would like a better standard of life. I would love the challenge of starting again in another country. Friends are all moving on... These are all reasons why it feel it's right for me to give it a go. I love Malta and it feels like home, so it was the only choice for me.
I am coming to visit in June for a holiday and to look at more of the practicalities of moving (apartment, work, banking etc.)
My profession is HR and I'd like to either operate a consultancy, providing virtual HR support, or get a HR job.
I plan to live in Sliema or possibly St Julian's, where there will be lots going on and opportunities to socialise.
Between now and the summer, I want to do as much research as possible, save some cash and also try to learn some Maltese.
I would welcome any top tips that's anyone has to share from when they made their transition.
I'd also love to hear from any fellow ladies who made the step on their own.
Thank you for reading.

Hi there,
Very odd reading your post as I am currently in the exact situation as you - post break up, dissatisfied with UK life and job and always wanted to move to Malta - gorgeous place. Just wondered how you are getting on with your plan to move there? Rachael

Re: Single lady looking to move to Malta
Im an older lady (46!) moving to study my masters in Malta - Ive friends that live there, and have been over on holidays loads of times but still nervous about jumping
My husband is staying here for work and well do the long distance thing for the year and a bit for the master. Well that's the theory! I'm looking into accommodation which seems quiet expensive in relation to wages but Im hopeful.
I moved to Ireland from UK about 14 years ago - moving was a great step then, so my advice would be jump- you ll never know and always wonder! Now if I could just take my own advice!
