Shipping household goods to the UK from Malta

Hi guys. Moving a small household (living on a boat) from Malta to the UK. We only have about 2 cubic meters of things but were quoted EU 2000 + VAT from Valetta to the Isle of Wight. Sounds like a lot. Anyone had experience with this and can recommend a freight company? Desi and Chris

We are using Shiplowcost to move to Gozo at just under 1 Cu Mtr costing us 80 Eu and takes about 1 week. They are a Maltese company so worth checking to see if they do the reverse trip to UK.
I couldn't find anyone even close to their charges.
