Rentals, can you break a 6 month lease?
 

Hi, We are relocating to Gozo from Australia (we are brits) and need a furnished 2 month rental property. This is regarded as a holiday let and they are pretty pricey. If we take a more reasonable 6 month lease can it be broken?
Our stuff will take about 8 weeks to arrive when we will want unfurnished.

It depends on the individual renter and how flexible they are. It will most likely cost you, which again depends on the individual person/organisation you are letting from.

The key would definitely be to not tell them you intend on breaking the lease after x months. When its time to move out, tell them you decided you need to return to Australia, maybe then they will have a little more flexibility for you. (or not ;))
