Malta buses
Today Malta says goodbye to their much loved old buses, for decades a major tourist attraction and cheap form of transport for all, to be replaced tomorrow by Arriva, a sad day but much needed for the sake of safety and the enviroment, just hope the Maltese prepare themselves for the inevitable future price increases.

A tribute to the past.
http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles...journey.373414 interesting point at the end of article, maybe it is not the end for the old buses after all, what a surprise.

Re: Malta buses
that's sad because they were very much part of the culture of Malta............... but if you had a bad back it didn't half hurt to ride in one

Re: Malta buses
The new system has been in place for a few weeks now and although they look more the business all sorts of problems are cropping up, mainly their size and ability to negotiate a lot of the narrower roads, shame.
