Default Malta!

We are two divorced males (50's) interested in moving to Malta later next year. We will be visiting for two weeks holiday in March and would welcome any contacts with anyone living there. We are British. One of us is a Nursing Home Nurse and the other an Oil Painting Restorer. We would need part-time employment of some sort and also somewhere quiet to rent. Excellent references available. We can also do other things such as Caretaking, Office, Hotel Reception, Companionship, Home Carers etc etc. One of us speaks Italian. We need a drier climate for heakth reasons and also somewhere not so violent as the U.K. Thanks for any advice anyone might have ~ Alan

Hi Alan. Tho not currently living in Malta, I am Maltese. U can try looking at the TimesofMalta.com for any job vacancies and Try Real Estate in Malta as loads to choose from. Rents would vary depending the part where u choose to live. Some places can be cheap whereas others can be expensive obviously depends what ure looking for. Climate would def be drier than UK and as for safety theres no comparision. Tho not crime free Malta is a v safe place to live and compared to larger countries like UK crime has a very low percentage.

Hope this helps and if u need to ask anything else, I will be pleased to help where I can.

Hello!
Very many thanks for your reply! If you have any friends or relatives in Malta that may know someone who gives Nursing employment or anything else, then we would appreciate any contacts you can give us. We will be in Gozo and Malta for 2 weeks holiday at the beginning on March. We wouldn't be able to relocate for a year or so but it would be good to have some contacts. Many thanks once again. Warmest regards ~ Alan

Am sorry but cannot really help u in that. What u can do is contact or maybe search on the internet for St.Philips Hospital or Capua St.James hospital. Those r the two private hospitals in Malta. Maybe they have a situations vacant section or something. Also Malta is in the process of building a large government hospital. Am sure they will be needing more staff. Not sure when its opening tho. Try Ministry of Health. In the meantime am trying to think of someone who can help
