27, single, male, potentially moving to Malta
Hi,
I am potentially moving to Malta for work.
Is this country suitable for someone like me? Is it an aging population? Are there many brits and/or English speakers? Could I emigrate to Malta indefinitely and have a joyful, successful life?
Thanks,
D

I don't know the answer but judging from other posts on here accommodation is scarce and very expensive. There does seem to be construction work

Loads of Brits here. There is the British Residents Association.
Accommodation is scarce and expensive, Work- depends on your skills. most is low paid apart from IT and Gaming industries.
Its very overcrowded now. Plently of young people from Malta and other EU countries.

I agree. I have been to Malta and it's quite expensive and work is scarce. I think it's best if you can be self employed and work in IT or have your own business before going there. A lot of people go to Malta to set up a business. You can also opt for having your own online business so that you will be able to live in Malta. You can start by creating a website first such as on a website builder like hPage: https://www.hpage.com Then you can monetize your website, earn through affiliate links, or sell your product there.
Malta is mainly a tourism industry so at best you might find a tourism related work there but it might not pay much.

As to being happy? My brother is on the island of Gozo. He used to live on the mainland but found the increasing Russian population with the accompanying corruption and rise in property prices quite alarming. There is more than a hint of their mafia presence (see -murder of the woman journalist awhile back ) A lot of dirty money sloshing through the country now. If none of that bothers you .then go for it
