Is it worth importing a LHD car under MM2H
I have a Left Hand Driven (LHD) Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.4 with 5 doors, Petrol driven 30,000 k.m. (European Model) Very good condition.
Would like to import to KL since the sale value is much less where I am. I have enquired about the service in Ford Malaysia and they said it is serviceable but certain parts would be difficult to get for a LHD, hence need to be ordered and may take a while. However I don't know whether they have to import it from abroad, if so could be expensive then:( So not so sure whether to dispose it off for a loss and get a new one in KL with RHD. Any suggestions from those who had similar situations!:) |
Re: Is it worth importing a LHD car under MM2H
Driving a RHD in France or Spain for a 3 week period is a pain.
Driving a LHD in Malaysia for a much longer period and with the driving skills there, which in my opinion aren't too bad and deffo better than Singaporeans, would be something I'd pay money not to do. |

Re: Is it worth importing a LHD car under MM2H
There is a thread on importing cars, last month I think or maybe May, I think there are some costs there.
Long time ago I considered importing to Singapore, much more expensive there mind, and decided against it. |

Yes, I found it. Thanks, the approximate cost would be somewhere between £1000 -£1500 if I opt the port from Genova, Italy to KL
