What's going on at Teluk Bahang?
Apparently there's a lot going on at sleepy Teluk Bahang (Penang) situated on the edge of the national park.
It was reported a few days ago by Star Online of massive land clearance up the hillside, which nobody seems to know anything about and now the Star has done some detective work, with the aid of some drones.
It's reported that the tycoon who owns the land is planning a martial arts temple, an international school, supercondos, houses, you name it, and it seems that the powers that be in the State Government don't know a thing about it and no permissions given. Wow!!

The Star indeed ruffled some feathers in the last week or so by revealing many hillside clearance activities which went thus far unnoticed.

Things can go “unnoticed” when is comes to land and property development. Money, threats and connections all play a part, such that on occasions the Malaysian English expression KIV (keep in view) can mean the opposite.
