Default Universities in Malaysia (subway specifically)

Do the universities in Malaysia have any credibility? As in will there be any difficulty when looking for employment later on in life? I also would appreciate if you could share your views on a Malaysian university education and what the general thoughts are on Sunway University in particular? My son has announced that he'd like to give it a go and just wanted to know if its a good idea.

The most credible universities are listed here:

World University Rankings 2013-2014 - Times Higher Education

Sadly Malaysia is not yet making the grade. None in the top 400.

... However, do bear in mind that there are now Malaysian campuses for a number of world class and ranked international universities. For example, Monash and Newcastle University, Southampton is already here and Reading is coming soon amongst others. These universities offer exactly the same degree as in the home country. Moreover, local Malaysian universities are improving - ranking is important but not the be-all-and-end-all. I can't specifically comment on Sunway unfortunately but I wouldn't totally dismiss the idea.

The latest QS rankings came out and Malasyian universities seem to be climbing up. I think UKM was possibly the highest beating several British, American and Asian universities. There was almost certainly one in the top 250 and a few others not far behind. Within Asia, the top Malaysian uni was a very respectable 32nd ahead of several Japanese and Chinese unis so they are improving fast.
