I use a service called "unblock us". Which makes it appear you are based in the US or the UK (you can change your locatin on the fly).
We use this in conjunction with a Apple TV which allows us to use Netflix.
Works pretty good!

Does Astro show any live football??
As for the Slingbox it used to be that you had to have paid for your tv license in UK and have your slingbox connected to your TV in the UK.
I think you can now just buy a subscription to a company which operates slingboxes in the UK and watch what you want.
There used to be a thread about it but google and see what it says about slingboxes.

Thanks for the info Catchafire and ex reg, I think I have the info I needed, I realise I will have a subscription, but that is no real problem. I do have a program on my computer similar to Unblock. All I can do is try it, if it works, great, if it fails, it will cost me a few dollars.
Life is worth more then money.
Thanks

If you are keen on sports(can get other channels) free streaming through
Wiziwig
LS Hunter TV
VIP Box office Sopcast
a 3mb or better connection will get you first rate quality coverage if the source is clear.
Free proxy that is helpful is

I usually record the late PL game and watch it next day if it turns out to be a good match! Premier league games and a few other channels like Nat Geo, Sky News thrown in for US $100 a year so not bad (Dubai)

I use a free service called Expatshield: www.expatshield.com
It's very good and most importantly, I get to watch BBC iPlayer! It's free because it uses adverts, but they are very unobtrusive for a free product.
Does Unblock Us allow iPlayer viewing?
Regards
Abdul

Just had clarification it's the Championship matches specifically Cardiff City which is now owned by Malaysians that my mate is hoping to find an online stream for.
Any ideas?

I am specifically looking for a way to watch Cardiff City matches online, which I believe Astro Superports show? Here in the UK I have a genuine Sky subscription, which allows us to watch lots of Sky channels (including Sports, Movies, Sky 1, Sky Atlantic etc) online via something called Sky Go.
1. Is there a similar mechanism through which Astro Supersports can be watched online?
2. If so, is it reliable in terms of quality?
3. If so, has anyone tried using it in the UK (presumably using something like expatshield)?
Thanks in advance.
