There's a similar one in Essex which I remember well
Never did figure it out.

It cost a fortune to have it removed by truck.
Note to Oslo: The spruce is very welcome, unlicensed giant parrots are not.

AFSIK there are three such magic roundabouts in the UK. There are in Swindon, Higk Wycombe and Hemel Hempstead. I've had the misfortune of having to navigate all three of them.

And partly as I got caught out yesterday....
I was with the Vega crew at Weld Quay immigration, and let's just say one important looking lady official there was not a happy bunny that morning.
I was trying to be helpful when this official said to me:
Who are you? Erh....
Why are you helping them? I like to help them
Show me your passport? I produced my driving licence. Didn't have my passport on me

I could arrest you for not having your passport. It is law.

At this point I decided to keep zip and fade into the background hehe.

Well it was stated in very clear terms by the British High Commission at their presentation last June.

Cheers IVV. That's good to know. So...any problems, we name-drop the British High Commission. Got it.
