Hi all,
My family and I will be moving in the summer to KL for about 3 years. The job looks great so the worries are where to live, and which schools. I have just come back from a short recce where we saw some properties in Damansara Heights as well as the Garden school and Mont Kiara school.
Our kids are 13, 9 and 7 but the Garden School has a waiting list for years 3 and 5 for the 2013/14 intake. Possible problem! But Mont' Kiara Int school (which I was v impressed with) should have spaces. My worries about Mont Kiara are that my kids would be moving onto the US based curriculum and I'm not sure what that impact might be. Also does anyone know anything about the academic standard of MKIS?
On housing, we saw a couple of lovely places in Damansara (we would prefer to live in a house with a bit of a garden) which seemed reasonably close to the schools. Grateful for any comments on this area and possible better expat alternatives? Our budget is between 10-15000 MYR per month.
Many thanks

Hi Balkan and welcome to the forum. There are a LOT of existing threads of folks moving to KL and asking the same questions as yourself.
May I suggest you have a browse through this section of the forum? You should find some answers.
I expect some of our resident KL posters will be along soon too.
