Short term mobile phone with data
 

I'm working basically in KL for 6 weeks this summer with the possibility of some work out anywhere from JB to Penang and even across to E Malaysia. Any thoughts on good plans out there for sim only with data? I have an old iPhone 3GS which I can use with a normal SIM.

When I visited in January, I got the hotlink (Maxis carrier) from the airport (they have a kiosk just before immigration) and it was good for both calls and data.

I have been back again for the past two weeks and I still used the same SIM card, just topped op with data and call credit.

Maxis has wider coverage, so get that.

Get Maxis' #Hotlink simcard. Data/Internet is free, albeit at a slower speed than getting a data bundle. But I've found it just fine for email, Whatsapp and Google Maps.
