We have found a house to rent
phew ![Big Grin](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
we have decided on Bangsar as an area to live, and chosen a nice house that allows us to bring our dog over.
The landlord in the condo my husband is renting just now, is allowing us to bring him over too so I don't need to wait til the end of September for the big move.
I have enjoyed my visits to KL so far and I now feel ready for the big move over.
So looks like I will be home to just tie up loose ends and book return flights back to the Sunshine![Big Grin](https://britishexpats.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
My next search will be for Doctors dentists and vets in Bangsar.
thank you to everyone for all your help when I have needed to ask questions, this place has been a great source of advice.

Please remember Malays/Moslems/and me don't really like dogs.
So care needed in public places and don't let your dog sit on chairs etc that Malays might also sit on.
Enjoy yourself.

thanks ex reg I doubt my wee soxy boy will cope with the heat too much so it will be early morning and late evening walks for him. I was tempted by one of those dog prams for taking him further afield to protect him from the heat if I needed to have him out the house for any length of time.
Dogs are not really accepted in many publics places in the uk either so I don't think it will be too different, just our choice of walking venues. There are a few dogs in the place we are going to live already and I saw quite a few dog walkers in the evenings when I went back for further visits so hopefully my new neighbours will help out with local dog friendly people and places.
I have taken my dog everywhere I can and he was quite a hit when I took him with us when we visited London. His cute factor is quite high so we seem to get away with taking him with us, however I do get it will be very different here and I will adjust my choices of places accordingly.
I think walking a dog or pushing a pram tends to have people stop to talk to you so it will hopefully make it easier to chat with the locals.
Thank you for your advice, I did wonder about LRT etc I have seen dogs in the wee bags on the bus and LRT and wondered about that also. I tend to just lift him onto my knee in Scotland but may need to get a bag or pram thing.
I am hopeful of settling far quicker now that my daughter and my dog are coming too
