Default Schooling Costs and Standards in KL

I'm currently considering an opportunity in KL and was after some advice if possible.

What is the standard of education like in KL?
Which are the best schools and what are the costs per annum?

(I have two girls aged 3 and 5.)

Also - which are the best websites for KL in terms of finding out more about property, living costs, expat packages etc etc? Looking for some fast, instant knowledge to arm myself with for the negotiations!

Many thanks for any help.

Ron

Hi Ronnie

There has been quite a few threads on the subject of schools just recently. You might want to browse through the forum and possibly tag on to one of those threads? If you search on "school" you should come up with most of them.

On the other stuff, we have a few folks working in KL on this board so they may pop up here to help you out hopefully.

The educational standards in International Schools here are excellent. You can check the reports on the UK Ofsted website. Look for Alice Smith and Garden International Schools. Fees start from 35k rm a year for reception and go up from there. In addition you will need to pay a 20k non refundable entrance fee, plus a terms deposit (refundable). Lots of info online.
