Public schools an option???
Hi, we are an American family who moves around the world due to hubby's job, but are interested in retiring in Malaysia.
We adopted a daughter from China, who will still be school age when we retire, and we were wondering is it possible for her to go to a local school? I've heard the classes are taught in English? We hope to buy a terraced house outside KL or maybe Penang? Any suggestions on where to live would be appreciated? Thanks, Lydia |

There are restrictions on non malaysians accessing the local school system but not sure how this applies under the retirement visa.
All the expats I know use International Schools, a few use local private schools where the medium is English. |
