Post Private tutor Selangor Malaysia

Hi, I am an expat living in Shah Alam. We are looking for a good private tutor to teach my son. He's 6 but he's quite advanced and a fast learner. We need someone who has experience teaching preferably American curriculum. . We look at 3 hours daily 4 days a week. Must be very fluent in English and very patient with kids. Is RM3000 per month good for you? Anyway you can negotiate the payment.

You really don't need a tutor at 6 unless you want to waste money. At this age,it is recommended for children to concentrate on their learning for 20 min and have 15 min of some sort of physical activities which is boosting their energy and improves brain development. Therefore, your tutor will be playing ball or biking with your child 50% of the time.

All tutoring can be done on-line. You can buy textbooks and find a curriculum, which you can confirm with your public school. Type in your browser "textbooks for homeschoolers" and you will find plenty of information on this. As an example, read about pearson homeschool.

Whatever homeschool you choose, just follow their curriculum. You will have a teacher's book with answers and very easy to understand explanations so that you can check your child's answers and explain problems.

Also, there are very good programs on-line for math and physics, especially for this age.

Many people homeschool their children. Just keep in mind that your child will miss out in social interaction if you will not expose your child to other kids every day. Your child needs to have friends of the same age. It is highly important for psychological health of your child not to be the youngest in his/her class.

One important rule in working with children- do not push, make it fun!
