Just a Heads Up for all those in Penang.

I was talking with an expat lady this morning and she had been robbed this week, actually in the supermarket. The way it went: A Filipino guy began talking to her about something (distracting her). Meanwhile another Filipino was grabbing stuff out of her bag. Money and credit cards were stolen. Of course, she didn't realise what had happened until she came to pay for her goods.

It all got caught on the security cameras and passed on to police.

So be aware.

Rule of thumb,
Don't bring a hand bag in Malaysia.
Don't put valuables anywhere in the car where is visible, especially on the seat.
Thieves can ride on a motorcycle, while you stop on the traffic light, they can break the glass and steal your bag.
