I wouldn't want a leather sofa here due to the risk of mold if not properly maintained or kept in a suitable environment.
Also not so comfortable to sit in if it is hot and humid.
For me it is better with a fabric covers, preferably removable so one can have them washed.

Hi
Last week I noticed a sign advertising 'Antique' Cabinets, above a tatty/disused shop on the main road about 100 yards before you get to the Sunrise Building / junction to Gurney Drive. I think you need to call to view.

I peeked through the window into the gloom. From what I saw I would guess that these cabinets are reproduction, and are similar to those previously sold by Rustic Heritage in Penang, and Lasting Impressions in KL.
Little Cottage Home Décor is closing down in May and currently has a sale on.

As a generality Gunner 45 I agree with you however we brought out leather suite from UK in 2011 and it is showing no signs of mold or other problems. We bought it in 2000 from Land of Leather in Potters Bar. It was made in South Africa and has a steel frame - no wooden parts (most seats are recliners). We do live in the foothills outside KK and benefit from cooler, less humid air, which helps.
We have a furniture shop in KK (it has a branch in Singapore https://journeyeast.com/?location=sg) which sells furniture made from reclaimed teak. We have bought a couple of sticks - I would buy all the contents of the shop if it were not for the (sensible) restraining influence of my wife!

My wife and I prefer a sofa with fabric cover, not leather. A leather one is not comfortable to sit on when it is hot.
