Penang Butterfly Farm

You probably knew this already but it's closed until the end of 2015
It seems it is being completely redesigned and rebuilt.

I didn't know. Have you been there? Is it any good?
I've just found a website for the place, which indeed confirms its closure until December.

I went there last August. It is (was) really nice, not cheap, but one of my favourite places to take visitors. Hopefully the new one will be even better.

I would like to see that. Rather fond of butterflies as BB might expect of me .

I like to see butterflies...they are so graceful and beautiful...but I couldn't walk amongst them. I hate wings flapping around me.

Yes the whole area has been levelled for some time, the future plan shown on the big notice board looks like very impressive, one wonders what they did with all the butterflies in the meantime as there is nothing left on site ?

But butterflies don't last very long, do they? Presumably the butterflies will "find" the new place when it is finished. Hehe....they better hope that, or they will have to re-name it.

It's been renamed Entopia and there's a website here:

There's a Buy 1 Free 1 promotion going on currently. If you go to their Farcebook page, it tells you how to get them.

I go past it a couple times a week the place now really is a massive construction much larger than before, now with all the workers, diggers, lorries, its certainly taken shape fast, the outside looks impressive but no idea how much interior work is still outstanding, then all the drive ways & hopefully large car parks & coach places to do, otherwise it will continue to be a big jam at the bottom of the dam hill as it is.

Opening in May? Then they need to hurry up. I passed by a few weeks ago and the construction looked far from completed.
