Mum new to KL

Hi all
I am the mother of a 2 year old girl, and her little sister is due to arrive in 9 weeks time! We have managed to find a house in the Mont Kiara area, but don't move in until mid April, so I am slowly going insane in serviced apartments close to KLCC. (We've been here less than a week...) We have no transport at the moment, so restricted to where we can go. Looking for some mums groups that might meet in either KLCC or Pavilion, just for some adult conversation other than my husband!
:)

Hi, take a look at this thread here

There's a women's group mentioned and you may get answers to a few of your questions there. Good luck.

Thanks Bakedbean
I had looked at this thread previously, and like this lady I am awaiting a response from the other group. I'll contact Lindsey, but have to admit that I assumed that she had no kids and from her post was unlikely to want to bash about with a heavily pregnant woman, and active 2 year old! :)

If you dont mind getting in a taxi and travelling across to Sri Hartamas, I would suugest you try Ibu. They run playgroups at their House. Contact details can be found here:

The ABWM also run a toddler playgroup on Thursday mornings. You could always give them a call (weekdays after 9.30am) for further details. They are located in Bangsar.

Thanks! I actually have contact with both of these groups, but can't join until I've been to a meeting. Unfortunately being 7 months pregnant I really can't be getting a car seat, push chair and 2 year old into a taxi very easily, but I am hoping to have access to a driver very soon, which should make my life a whole lot more bearable!... :)

You're right -it sounds like a lot of work! Until you are sorted with a driver, perhaps you could look at local playcentres close to you which are generally located in the malls here. At least your little one would be able to have a play then and let off some steam..

We're pretty close to KLCC and Pavilion, I didn't actually think about there being kids activities in there, although I did notice that there is an aquarium. We really do need some kids time for my daughter, as she is getting pretty stir crazy in the apartment, as am I!..
