Lots of new "international" schools starting in KL. They would be happy to get a British teacher at a discounted price. They may not be so strict with the qualifications since you're Britisih.

Rafflesia isn't even open yet! A real muppet school as no one in charge knows what a school looks like. May not even open this year. Be careful!
Nobel is worse....
Nexus though is a proper international school but in a poor location. Sri garden is owned by Taylor's - same as GIS - not so bad

Tropicana International School also a dead duck - they were advertising also. That may never actually be built as powerful people opposing it.
Also I heard they thought they could pay 7,500 RM per month and get good teachers. Hello in 1970s could!

Nemodot, you don't sound like a happy bunny. Do you enjoy Malaysia? Or do you see this as a stopping off point before somewhere else?
Note that you seem to be working, rather than a layabout like me, so quite different situation.

Hello,
I'm 20 year old girl, from Yorkshire UK
I've got a one way ticket to KL for the 5th of April 2013
Hoping to start a fresh and make a life over there
I've been to Malaysia and Borneo before alone, and fell in love with the country and the people
I have qualifications in various subjects ranging from animal studies to working with children
If anyone has any tips on getting a job, accomodation, visas ect
It would really be appreciated.
Please get in touch
Hope to hear from some of you

One thing important you need to be aware of. You said you are going on a one way ticket on your 90 day visa to Malaysia - most likely they will not let you in at the Immgiration point once you arrive as they will think you are not a genuine visitor and will overstay your visa. You need either to have a return ticket OR have a visa valid for few months or years (like a working visa). One young girl travelling with one way ticket on a 90 day tourist visa is too suspisious. You can be detained and then put back on the plane to the UK. In that case you will be back sooner than you think. I am dead serious.
cheers
