Default Moving to Malaysia

My boyfriend is looking into teaching English as a foreign language in Malaysia for a year.
I am worried about my chances of getting a visa as I am unsure about my chances of getting a job as I do not have a degree..
I would just like to know if anyone could shed some light on partners being able to also live in Malaysia.
Thanks.

Hi Jill. I thought that your boyfriend had landed a years work in China teaching, according to your previous post Didn't that work out?

I have no idea about your getting a visa here with your boyfriend. Others may have more info.

Are you intent on working? Do you need to work or will your boyfriend's salary be enough for the two of you? What qualifications or work experience do you have?

If you don't need the salary, I'm wondering about some kind of education visa perhaps. Visa runs would certainly be possible for a while.

On the other end of the age scale, I have friends - a retired couple - and they've been visa running to Singapore and Thailand for the last year or so, but now getting the Spanish inquisition at Immigration.
