Hello,
I'm new to this forum thing but thought I would give it a go.
I've just accepted a job at Sri KDU international school in kota damansara and will be flying out to KL in August (I think it's 2 weeks before the school term starts)
Anyone got any tips on places to live?
I will be moving with my partner who hasn't yet got himself a job - He is a qualified PE teacher - would this be any benefit to him once in KL? or is it useless if he hasn't got a job prior to leaving the UK?
The school sort most things out for myself but not for him so this is our main concern at the moment - Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks

Just thought I'd post in here too so I can get my posts over 3! It would be great to have a chat with both of you through private message and share info/advice etc. So much to think about!

Whoops, forgot to mention I'm going to the same school. Posted in another thread and then forgot I hadn't mentioned that here! Anyway, look forward to finding out more about future colleagues...

Hi Paige
Congrats on the new job. A quick comment regarding your partner. If he has good qualifications and experience working within the UK school system then he would be in a excellent position to get a job at an international school here. If there is nothing full time going initially then he could start of by doing supply teaching and then move into something more permanent after that. Schools are willing to arrange working visa's for the right people.
Cheers

Wow is there anybody who doesn't work at Sri KDU!
I start there next week. Can't wait to get started. Hopefully I will be able to offer advice and assistance for you all.
