Chicken soup for colds and flu: Does it really help? - CBS News

A good hearty chicken noodle soup or chicken veggie soup will help ;-)

Yes. I agree.

I found this article, about the makings of a great community, right on the button…

http://sueontheweb.com/2011/06/oops-...oes-wrong.html

Here’s an extract:

what I do when it all goes pear-shaped:
• Listen.
• Acknowledge.
• Fix what can be fixed.
• Change what can be changed.
• Own up when it goes wrong.
• Admit when you’re wrong, or have messed up.
… and when you can’t do any of those things say sorry, and….Humbleness is appreciated, honesty and transparency build respect and trust....

The article author, Sue John, is the co-founder of BE, but sadly is no longer actively involved.

I think Sue is very pretty, but Sue chose me as her Favourite Johnny Foreigner of 2015 (methinks that’s code for wishing I’d go home).
Blast! Must try harder!

Oh you're such a flirt JC3

I've never seen that blog of Sue's. Very interesting. Holy moly, how does she have time to do a blog?

Regarding the chicken soup (apologies JC3 for diverting your thread) that is well and good if you have some in the freezer. But I am getting a Reality Check of being ill when on one's own Good to have reality checks though.

Vitamin D3. As soon as you get a sniffle take 5-6 tabs and it knocks a cold dead. I haven't had a cold for a long time. Give it a try.
