Large Prawns skyrocketing
OK...it's the price of large prawns. It got the imagination going though, didn't it.
It seems the poor hard done by fishermen of Penang are having a hard time getting big prawns due to high winds (I didn't notice), bad weather, poor catches, blah blah blah, and the prices have skyrocketed.
It of course has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Chinese New Year is just a little way off

People have been buying ahead to avoid the CNY rip-off so the fishermen have simply upped the price earlier. Strong winds - mon cul!

Haha, the weather in Penang is clear as a baby's bottom.
They are just finding excuse to earn more.
Thank goodness we have relatives as fisherman at Kuala Kurau.

I wonder if that's what they are pulling up in the boats with nets most mornings near tanjong bungah. If so, no wonder there is a shortage since they just go round the same area day and night, one boat after another. Poor little shrimp need some time to grow up I imagine
