Kuching

Have an interest in Melaka but am also interested in Kuching. Not seen much discussion on here re Kuching, does anybody have any first hand experience of life in Kuching which I have not been to. Have been to Kota Kinabulu which was enjoyable but only been there as a tourist.

I'm pretty sure Strider wrote some stuff on Kuching on here. Might be worth a search in the searchbox? I know he's been there.
