Kuala Lumpur Konundrum!
Hi,
I am new to this forum and just wish to introduce myself as well as typing my first post!
Apologies in advance if any of my questions have been answered in previous posts
Im 23 and currently live in the UK, with a potential job offer in the Jaya Petaling Jaya area of Malaysia.
I am just curious to know more about the place from people living in and around first hand what it is like on a day to day basis?
I also intend to move out there on my own, without any family or friends there at present! Are there communities for like minded working proffessional expats to meet up/ socialise? I consider myself to be quite a social person and i would hate to be experiencing KL entirely on my own.
Also is it worth renting in Petaling Jaya or am i better off commuting from elsewhere?
Any feed back would be more than welcome,
Thanks!
BM

Re: Kuala Lumpur Konundrum!
Hi there and welcome to the forum.
I'm not in KL area so cannot help you much. I do have friends in PJ and have stayed with them before and the traffic can be horrendous, so I suspect it might be a good thing to be living close to your workplace if possible.
Generally, KL has a big expat community if that is what you're looking for. Malaysians are also friendly. Have a look through this forum. You'll see plenty of threads about living in and around KL.
