JPJ introduces Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC)
 

Apparently this is going to replace the old Vehicle Registration document and it will be an "online" document.

Sounds like a great idea to me. It is always a pain in the bum having to go to JPJ to alter any information, like change of address, on the document so (in theory) this has to be an improvement.

It's going to happen in stages.

As of now (June 2016), new car registrations will be on the new system.

Those of us with existing car registrations will find the changes happening after September 1st and when getting new road tax. No idea how that works - can do at Pos Office still? Who knows.

From January 1st 2017, anybody can go to JPJ to effect the change.
