Hotel Penang

We are in Penang for 8 nights in 3 weeks time but the E & O can only put us up for 5 nights.
Don't want to be out in Batu Feringhee or Tanjong Bungah.

Any suggestions for in and around Georgetown???

Stayed at both Hotel Penaga and Campbell House in previous years. Both very good and similar location to E&O.

Thanks.
They look similar style hotels and about the same price.

To which one would you return?

Yes similar style. Different vibe to E&O as both small heritage places. I'd be hard pressed to choose so I'd suggest draw your own conclusion based on info online.

The best hotel in Penang is "Le Dream Boutique Hotel".

But because it is so popular, it is also more expensive now, expect to pay around RM 280 per night. Still a good deal.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.
The missus is now considering the Jawi Peranakan Mansion.

Dunno which one she'll choose but she'll make the booking today.

Bit late but food was good in Campbell House.... and they had a quaint pulley system to get your bags upstairs!
