Home Furnishings
Per another post of mine we've almost secured some fully furnished accommodation in the city. Fully furnished as in main 'furniture' only. We've got to deck the place out with our own touches, including some essentials such as pillows, bedding, toaster, kettle, ironing board etc.
Last weekend we went to Viva Mall but found it lacked in some areas, particularly bedding, the other day we went to Parksons in Pavillion and found the sum total of two kettles. Can anyone advise the best place in KL to go shopping for these kind of basic homewares. Back home in Sydney you'd be spoilt for choice with target, Kmart, Myer etc but we can't find the equivalent basic low cost shop in KL.
Any help appreciated.

You can also try Harvey Norman just across from Carrefour at Mid Valley. Robinsons at Gardens mall (attached to Mid Valley Megmall) is quite good for bedding. You can always head out to the
ubiquitous Ikea.
I also miss Target :-(

Thanks for the replies. I'm getting a resounding trend in responses that Mid Valley is the place to go whenever I ask this question now. We've not been yet but I understand that its best to get there early as its hectic on a weekend afternoon (where isn't?). Will give it a go this weekend.

And parking is horrendous on weekends! If you drive there, it may be worth using the Gardens Mall concierge service (RM15 I think is the charge). They'll take the headache of parking the car and bringing it back to you!

Valet is good but even after 2pm they will generally be full. Get there for 10am when it opens, or no later than 11am.

On the topic of home furnishings etc, are energy efficient light bulb fittings in M'sia of the screw or bayonet type, and anyone know if Uk bulbs would work over there?
Thanks,
