My wife and I are off to Malaysia in December. 5 nights in KL and 2 nights in Langkawi. To date, Muscat is the furthest East we have ever been.
We probably won't be leaving the resort in Langkawi so may I ask what the forum reckon are : -
1. "must do's" in Kuala Lumpur, and;
2. "you'd be crazy not to see XXX whilst you are in Langkawi"
Thanks

Langkawi, well it's OK, much prefer Muscat myself.
Hire a car there and drive around. The Eagle.
That's it.
KL nearly ditto.
But the tall building thing, Central Market is worth an afternoon, maybe lunch there, and the Padang and environs etc.
The night market around, hmmm where is it, Malay Hotel area?

If you're not leaving the resort, I guess all you will see is the resort
Langkawi is a chill out place, very relaxed, just enjoy the beaches and the weather. Personally I'd have done the other way around 5 days in Langkawi and maybe 2 maximum in KL, but it all depends what you want to experience.
