Default Finding Expat work in KL, any suggestions?

I am an experienced Design Engineer currently based in the U.K although previously an expat in many places, looking to find work Preferably as a Design Engineer although manufacture and Production management would be considered in Kuala Lumpur. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how best to go about this, ie good agencies, recruiters or companies who are keen on Brits as employees / contractors. All postive suggestions gratefully received.

Just to say Hi and welcome, but cannot help you at all with your query - not my line of work and I'm not in KL either, but maybe someone will be along in a moment. All the best.

Dear Baylisnick

There is a very strong engineering community here in KL - although I would say that the vast majority of expats here work in the Oil and Gas Business. If that happens to be something you would be interested in I may be able to make some suggestions.

Otherwise, several agencies operate here - including NES Global and Fircroft.

As you might expect, folk here are looking for candidates with specialist and/or extensive relevant experience to justify the significant cost of bringing an expat into KL. In addition, this will be needed to justify the visa application you would need to come work here. You might want to consider what you would be offering to the market here.

I hope this helps as a starting point.

Best regards

Tahiti

Firstly,
Warm welcome to Malaysia

Secondly,
I'm in Oil & Gas field base in KL, somehow I rather to suggest you to have a look at few agencies that probably you have to contrive and you personally need to contact on your own

See belows:-
Maxmarra Sdn Bhd
Nes Global
Brunel

Hope it might help,

Good luck
