I also had a chat with a Malaysian friend of mine of 10 years, who has a friend who is very successful in business, who advised that corruption and dodgy deals creep in in very top level business deals and negotiations. i.e. talking about millions of dollars worth of contracts!
If that is the case, then most countries of the developing world are like that! I'm a lot more modest and am happy with a comfortable lifestyle for my family and I... rather than being a millionaire watching over his back all the time!
