Default Do any of your schools offer Scouts/Guides/BB/Brownies etc?

Hi folks

I'm hoping to persuade the kids' school in Johor to offer Scouts/Guides - something similar.

I know that in Singapore almost all of these types of group are run through the local schools.

I've found Scout troops in Malaysia but they are all held (obviously) in Bahasa.

If anyone has children at an international school in Malaysia offering one of these types of groups can you please share how you went about setting it up.

Thanks!

Hi,

Yes our school offers Beavers, Scouts, Brownies etc. I'm not sure how it was set up but do know it is managed by an external body. Sorry I cant be of more help.

Hi ajw

Thanks for the reply. Would you mind asking at the school which organisation set it up? No urgency - just if you get a chance - thank you!

For the Guides/rainbows etc you need to get in touch with the UK body https://www.girlguiding.org.uk/get_involved.aspx

We have parents who train and volunteer to run the sessions.

I will PM some more details for Scouts.
