Dim Sum.
I enjoy eating Dim Sum but find it difficult to find a good Dim Sum restaurant. Can anybody recommend a good Dim Sum restaurant in Penang?

If you want the real McCoy, try Leong Kee Tim Sum Restaurant, 61 Kimberley Street in George Town (at the junction of Kimberley Street and Rope Walk).
It’s a little off the tourist track, and you’ll see mostly locals here. It opens early (5.30am) for Dim Sum and it’s all over by 12.30pm, and the Dim Sum is wheeled round on trolleys. Tea is unlimited after your first pot. If you go at the weekend, get there early if you don’t want to wait for a table, it’s packed. JC3 |

My favourite is the Bali Hai Seafood Market on Gurney Drive.

Re: Dim Sum.
Corner Club on Gurney Drive has a good dim sum and is very reasonably priced.

So you like Bali Hai? It seems a bit expensive but then I've never eaten there so no idea if it's good value. Apart from dim sum do you have any other recommendations for what to eat there?
Oh and watch out if you can swim. You could be next on the menu. "If it swims, we have it!" JC3 |
