Computer components - Malaysia prices/quality?
 

Bit of a way off but time flies. For when I come to live full time (this year hopefully if I like it) I will need a new PC. I will build it. Now I can buy stuff here and bring it out (concern over warranty issues etc) or, if it's better priced and availability is there I might get it out there. Is there any company with an online catalogue so I can check prices?

Looking at things like:

Intel i5 2500K processor
Asus P8P67 Pro Motherboard
MSI N 560 GTX Twin Frozr (Video card)

IIRC Dell manufacture in Malaysia.
Well my stuff is Dell but bought in Singapore and I've had no problems.
Price is about the same as UK.

In Penang, we've just bought a "built" desktop computer from Techserv. Mr bakedbean has been using it exclusively :rolleyes: and he's very pleased with it. I think they've got prices for components on their website. Just google in Techserv Penang. If it doesn't come up, give me a nudge, and I'll find the card they gave us.
