Although I have had one external job interview already, with another next week, I am keeping all of my options open at the moment but retirement is a strong pull

If we stay here into November, we will have to hand more dosh over to the Government as my wife will have to apply for ILR, so time is of the essence as they say!

Bear in mind, for MM2H, you need to show 3 months of bank statements (current statements) showing offshore income (Uk or wherever) of equiv RM 10,000+ per month. A lot of folks get the visa while they are still working. Timing may be important I guess. Anyway.... you might get the other visa I guess.

Hi if you are marrying in Malaysia you need a Muslim conversion card to prove you a Muslim, attend the marriage course and get cert, your fiancée needs her parents marriage certificate to prove she was not born out of wedlock (if she was born illegitamate you need a court to marry you), a letter from embassy to say there is no objection to getting married and a Malaysian government hospital aids test.
