From personal experience KL is at least 50% cheaper than living in Melbourne for day to day living and going out. (excludes rent and buying wine!) Australia is NOT a cheap option for living at any stage of life (particularly retirement). Hopefully we won't need to go back for a while..

RedDragon you will definitely notice the difference. Tax rates are considerably lower as well if you are tax resident here.

Plan to be in the pool with G&T

A 12 hour flight is better than a 26 hour flight for some shopping/xmas skiing.

Hello Mrs BB,

Thanks for asking. Very unfortunately we still in sweaty Singer not Malaysia. We are struggle to find a place down south. Thanks to all the property speculators we got price out of Leisure Farm. Sorry for the negative comment no offense for the prospector. The new phase we interested in the Leisure Farm asking for a whopping RM2.3mil for a semi-detach house.

Apart from that we are very well.
