£50 notes

Do money changers accept £50 notes? Can they be Scottish or must they be English notes?

I would not recommend Scottish notes. In Thailand it would problematic to find a money changer buying them.

Change your Scottish notes to Bank of England notes if you can before you travel. Even if you find a BdC who will accept them you will get a less advantageous rate than for a Bank of England note. Also, make sure that they aren’t torn or defaced (written upon) as it’s likely that these may be refused.

Getting English notes is not really a problem. I was mainly wanting to know if thry would accept £50 notes.
