I just can't believe that police didn't arrest him and he was allowed to board two flights.
Or that Manchester Airport security ran a scanner over it and didn't detect anything 'suspicious', so the security head just popped it into her pocket and carried on with her job. It had nitroglycerin in it!

Bit of an update in the papers today Robin, the best guess of the investigators is he was planning a suicide attack.

From the Telegraph -
M&S has been forced to change lavatory signs in their stores after complaints of sexism.
A customer at the chain's Holmbush store in Shoreham spotted that the female toilet sign showed a woman with a baby while the sign for male toilet just showed a man, and claimed this suggested that only women look after children.
Writing on Facebook, Sharon Sawyer said: "I was surprised and disappointed at the pictures for the toilets.
"I expected being a family store that you understood that families very much share children's needs and personal care, not just women.
"The picture shows a woman and child. The picture in the comments just shows a man, why?"

I had a similar thing when i was in my early teens in 2001. I bought a lava lamp in Florida and innocently put it in my carry on when returning to the U.K. Caused some concern when it went through security.

I don't know. Normally this sort of thing flies over my head because I couldn't really care less but if there are changing mats in the Gents, and there's a unisex changing area, why would they not have a baby on the Gents sign? Men could easily have the baby, see the signs and assume, incorrectly, there are no changing facilities in the Gents and therefore they don't know where to change said baby. Grand scheme of things it's unimportant but maybe because it's unimportant the signs should be correct????????
