I am now proud to be a dual citizen....I took the oath to become a Canadian citizen. Applying for my passport and have already booked my first foreign trip as a Canadian passport holder. Going to Chile......17 years since I have been there. I can't wait. Any Chile lovers here?

With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Never been to Chile, although it's on my list of places I would go if I win the lotto.
Congrats I guess on the citizenship, took you almost as long as I have been living to get it, and I thought I was dilly dallying about it.

I’ve always felt a special affinity for Canada, I used to visit a lot, since we live just over the border.
In my family history research, I’ve only just started to look into my paternal grandfather’s younger siblings. Well, there were nine of the little sprogs, so I knew it would be a big task. I was surprised to find that three of them moved to Canada as youngsters. The two boys were killed on the western front in the First World War, fighting for Canada. One died on the Somme, the other at Vimy. Another reason to take that trip to see the Vimy Memorial and the battlefields.. I’ve now got quite a few of that generation to catch up with.

Congrats. Now you get to stand on guard, etc.
OH's grandfather was a trainer on a Canadian airforce base before the outbreak of WWII (at which point he went back to the UK and flew Mosquitos).
