Some fellows from Bristol and Barcelona singing Northwest Passage by the late Canadian singer/songwriter Stan Rogers:

Being Easter, I was listening to Sinéad Marie Bernadette O'Connor singing "The Foggy Dew", but yer man Conor McGregor has that locked down..... then I came across this video of her singing last year live on Irish TV, after her conversion to Islam and taking the name Shuhada' Sadaqat. Her voice is still there at over 50 years old, with all her history and as a mother of four. Maybe not quite the instrument it was, but still a fine instrunment. Enjoy

Sinéad and Imelda may sing Fats......
Supposedly, Imelda May was going through a break up, Sinéad recognized she was having a tough time and changed her set to sing this duet...... hence the body language.

Radio 4, hardly known for music just played a memory for me - a memory of anti-apartheid days, a memory of time amongst retornado friends from Portugal and a perfect example of music from southern Africa by the queen, Mama Africa, Miriam Makeba.
I'm in floods, recalling that it was after singing this in Italy in 2008 that she suffered a massive heart attack and could not be revived.
RIP

Bowie is always good. Any phase, any period, any persona.
I almost got to meet him when my mate got signed to Gary Numan's label, because he was in awe of the Thin White Duke.
But thanks to Numan, it famously never worked out.

Same year.....
"If you're sad today, just remember the world is over 4 Billion years old
....... and you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie.. "

I sing along to this while washing hands to ensure that Covid-19 is thoroughly exorcised. No way coronavirus can withstand 10 minutes of the Edgar Broughton Band.
