Got so depressed I rang a suicide 'hot line'. Pressed '1' for English, was routed to a Pakistani call centre. When I informed them I was suicidal they got all excited and asked "can you drive a truck?"

Only a little smile for that here, it's been trotted out so many times on here in joke threads etc that it's losing it's point.

Wow, am I alone thinking this is completely UN-funny on so many different levels?

No, in fact I've only just got it. Mainly because I'm not aware of Pakistan being involved in suicide missions. Had it been Middle Eastern based I'd have got it but it still wouldn't have been funny. If a joke has to be explained, it's failed imo.

I wonder, there's a bloke on another forum having trouble with a toilet that keeps getting stopped up. I wonder if he finally bit the bullet and changed it.

Then you are sadly out of touch with world events, Pakistan borders Afganistan and many terrorists from Afanistan seek, and get, refuge there.

I know where Pakistan is and I know many Afghans get refuge there. As I said, I didn't know Pakistan had suicide missions. It's still not funny.
