Don't get me wrong - I love Pavarotti's voice and could never understand how he got pushed into the "Three Tenors" trio, with Placido Domingo (OK, but not in the same league) and Jose Carreras (weak and flat). I just think Bocelli's sublime tone wins.
He got into it because aging opera singers have to do something to bring home the bacon. I think he just didn't want to give up performing, even when he wasn't really up to top level full blown opera.

We will just have to agree to disagree - you like pretty and I like sublime.

Doesn't come any more high-brow than the Ukuele Orchestra of Great Britain though I'm sure Washboard and Spoons Philharmonic would give them a run for their money.

Nice. But you needed to finish that line with a "RRLL RRLL R" roll and an "I thank you."

On an empty tea-crate of course.

Seeing this old Pat's Steaks sandwich shop newspaper advertisement for a Philly cheesesteak. It's supposed to suggest that it's so good that even beautiful women would leave you for a relationship with it. Instead it looks like a woman running in the sea with a massive manky vagina.
